Progressive Era: Depicted in my art is the propaganda that would go around at that time. I was inspired to do so by the hat of man in such propaganda. I chose to depict it because, I wanted to depict the political reform going around in the states. We should care about this because it's part of the story as to how we got here.
Roaring 20's: Shown in my art is the remnants of the shirt waist fire. what had inspired me was the tragic tale and the story behind it. I chose it to show that it is not okay for this to happen and I want people to look at this and to learn from the errors of the people who caused it. Those woman had lives just like the rich owners do. They didn't have to die nor have the should have died.
Great depression: What's depicted in the art is how people only saw rich people for their money. If you had a bad personality, money helped. If you have a good one, even better! The inspiration for this art was the film " The Great Gatsby". This was my inspiration because the film was all about a rich dude who threw parties. No one new what he looked like, nor were they ever cordially invited to them. They cared about going to the parties and having a good time. Not who threw them. I chose to depict this topic in my art because when the rich lost their money, they also lost, friends, power, social standing. people should care about this because we want the government involved next time.
WW2: What is depicted in the art is how people hated the face of uncle Sam during the war because they were fighting a war they didn't want to fight in the first place. The inspiration for my art was the back story to the war leading to the face of war AKA uncle Sam. I chose this because everyone hated the idea of being forced to fight in a war they had no business being in and having government propaganda being spread everywhere not being able to say anything without the risk of being persecuted.
